It's hard to believe January has come and gone already. We had a busy month. If January is any indication, this is going to be a busy but fun year. Here's a recap of how I spent the month.
We started out the New Year by celebrating with our friends, the Stroups. We ate, watched the Moon Pie drop in Mobile, AL, and shot fireworks in spite of the rain. The kids had a blast and loved staying up past midnight. I spent the next Saturday at the Monster Jam monster truck show in Birmingham with Hunter and his friend. We all thought it was fun! The motocross motorcycle stunts were my favorite. I also went out with a friend to see my favorite local band that night. I took the kids to our first Alabama hockey game the next weekend (again in Birmingham). We went to see Alabama play against Auburn for the first time ever on Saturday night. We had so much fun, we went back to the game on Sunday. Then we went to see them play Florida for their last home game of the season the next weekend. We are now hockey fans and will definitely be going to some games next season. Last weekend, we went to the circus. You guessed it - in Birmingham. HAHA! I hadn't been to the circus since I was a kid and I had just as much fun as Hunter and Katelyn did.
All in all, it was a good month for us. I also found out that Hunter will be inducted into the Junior National Honor Society and the Junior National Beta Club at his school next week and I signed Katelyn up for her first beauty pageant at the end of February. Looks like we have a fun, busy month ahead. I don't mind, though. I'm loving getting to spend this time with my kids. They'll never be 12 and 7 again, so I'm going to enjoy every moment. Here's to February!
